Why Can’t I Find My Site On Google?

I have a couple of sites that I passionately work on now and then. One website in particular was of particular interest to me because I felt like the niche was good and it was generating revenues within the first month the website was started. The website is about six months old, and it now thrives on page rank 2.

But I noticed a strange thing yesterday when I searched my site on google, it is no where to be found in the search engine result pages (SERPS). More strange was that I could easily find out my website’s sub pages. I posted on forums regarding this mysite not-found-in-google issues. I think I just realized what went wrong with my site.

Remember I said my site achieved pr 2, just within six months. Now think why or how? I played tricks with Google or should I say Google search engine. I tried different link building tricks; and yeah unfortunately some of the tricks used were darn ugly one. The method I used to build links were far more ugly and evil than John Chow, the dot com mogul. Haha.

So Google caught that website and penalized it. But it did not penalize the whole site. Google only penalized just the main page to where I was building incoming links. I feel lucky, thank you Google for not penalizing my entire site. One thing I learned from this experience is that Google is smarter than me.
