There was a study conducted at the at the Ernst & Young International Intern Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. Most of the participants were college students. It turns out that 59 percent of these young leaders expect to be millionaires within their lifetime. What’s more, 5 percent of them expect to hit the million-dollar mark while in their 20s.

But how do these people know they are going to be a millionaire. One reason could be because their parents are filthy rich and they expect to inherit the million dollar bank accounts. Other way is to win a lottery but it is well known that over 90 percent of people who win that amount of money from lottery lose their money within ten years of periods.

On the other hand, there are other people who make themselves a millionaire. There are some unique traits of such self made millionaires:

1. Invest rather than spend: See there are millionaires who became millionaire with the help of their parents money. But their own mindset played more role. What they do unique is that they don’t spend the money they get, instead they invest to generate more money out of it.

2. Motivated: Millionaires tend be more motivated than average people. They work hard at what they believe would work even though other people would disagree with them.

3. Make It Successful: Millionaires tend not to No for an answer. Their persevere in the pursuit of their goals are outstanding. The task might seem hard, but they know it is not impossible and thus they would do whatever it takes to make themselves successful.

4. Calculate: One important trait of millionaires is that they don’t just jump into the path to millionaire bandwagon. They look at each of the step they have to take to get there and calculate the risk and profits. If the profit outweighs the risk, then they go into that business.

5. Philanthropy: A lot of people would disagree with this, but millionaires do tend to donate more money into charities than average people. You can blame it on the amount of money they have, but at the end we do have to agree that they have a more charitable habit than anyone else.
