Seems like in every state in the United States, car thieves have a different mindset. There was a recent report release by the National Insurance Crime Bureau, which conducted a thorough study regarding auto thefts. Here are some of the list of some states with their top stolen cars:
In Alabama, it is all about Chevrolet Full Size C/K 1500 Pickup 1994 followed by Chevrolet Caprice 1989, Ford F150 Series 1997, Honda Accord 1992, Ford Explorer 1996, Oldsmobile Cutlass 1984, Ford Taurus 1997, Toyota Camry 1994, Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee 1997 and Chevrolet Cavalier 1997.
In California, it is 1. Honda Accord 1991 on top followed by Honda Civic 1995, Toyota Camry 1989, Acura Integra 1990, Nissan Sentra 1994, Toyota Pickup 1988, Saturn SL 1994, Chevrolet Full Size C/K 1500 Pickup 2001, Toyota Corolla 2005 and Ford F150 1997
In Washington DC, the top stolen car is 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan LE miniva, followed by Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee 2000, Honda Accord 1994, Ford Crown Victoria 1997 and Dodge Intrepid 2000
In Kentucky, most favorite care to be stolen by car thieves are Kentucky’s ‘Hot Wheels’ Chevrolet Full Size C/K 1500 Pickup 1999, Oldsmobile Cutlass 1987, Ford Taurus 1996, Ford Explorer 2002, Ford F150 Series 1997, Toyota Camry 1991, Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee 1996, Dodge Ram Pickup 2001, Chevrolet Cavalier 1998 and Chevrolet Caprice 1989
