1. Warren Edward Buffett is now officially the most richest person in the world. Most people wouldn’t have guessed he would be the most richest person – because he have donated billions of money to charities. But seems like the old cliche says – you do good, good things happen to you. His net worth is $62 billion. And he is the America’s most beloved investor. His father was a Nebraska politician. As a young boy, he delivered newspapers and filed his first tax return at age 13 – and he claimed $35 deduction for the bicycle he bought. His company Berkshire Hathaway’s shares has increased 25% since the middle of last July.
2. So you think Mexican’s are poor eh? Think again. Carlos Slim Helú from Mexico is the second richest person. His net worth is $60 billion. He is a son of Lebanese immigrant. He started to make money when in 1990 he bought the fixed-line operator Telefonos de Mexico (Telmex) in a privatization. One of the wealthiest person in the world living in a poor country; is that an irony or what.
3. William H. Gates III: Now here is your favorite. Bill Gates net worth hasn’t really increased much and doesn’t seem like it would – it is still $58 billion. He dropped out of Harvard university 13 years ago to start the Microsoft company that creates software and applications for computers. It is a well known fact that he lives a philanthropic life and most of his time are spent on charities rather than the work that really involves making money for himself. He seems content with his wealth, but not with his charity work.
4. Lakshmi Mittal is Indian, but lives in UK. He has $45 billion. He is the head of world’s largest steelmaker, ArcelorMittal, which accounts for 10% of all crude steel production. It just delivered 580 tons to be used in construction of the World Trade Center memorial in New York. With a 44% stake, he is the company’s largest shareholder.
5. Mukesh Ambani is the Asia’s richest person. He is Indian and the head of petrochemicals giant Reliance Industries, India’s most valuable company by market cap. His fortune is up $22.9 billion since last year, making him the world’s second-biggest gainer in terms of dollars. His current net worth is $43 billion. Mukesh is using some of his money to build a 27-story home.

They are rich and powerful people who have a lot of power to influence not only the community in which they live but also it neighboring communities. Interesting to note that they all pretty much made their fortune on their own – I mean without inheriting from their parents/ancestors.

ie the Rockefellers, rothchilds, morgans etc

Bills Gates is the richest person in the world. I think he bounced back last year as his software company Microsoft kept selling Windows OS without so many computers that were sold. And Warren Buffet who is behind Bill Gates in richest man rank was not able to protect his company Berkshire Hathaway from the effects stock market was facing at the end of year 2008 through year 2009.

This is a very aspiring list of top richest people in the world. You know why? Because these people made millions, actually billions, of money on their own. They are self made richest people and I admire them. I think as the rates of inheritance of wealth goes down, we will see more and more guys like these.

I thought Bill Gates in back to being the richest person in the world 2009. Because even though the pc computers and laptop didn’t sell well, but everytime they got sold his company made hundreds and thousands of dollars out of it. And imagine, how many people in the world are buying or upgrading the microsoft software. He will remain the richest man on earth till he dies or his company collapses.

I can not personally speak for these rich people because I have never been that rich. But what I know for sure is that often times these richest people in the world are very good person inside too. I don’t know if it is because now that they are rich they are able to live a depression or worry free lives to some extent. People say money can’t buy happiness but money can help you buy happiness though. For example, if driving nice cars make you happy you gotta have money to buy one. Think like this: imagine you are able to get whatever you want. Won’t that make your life happier? I know mine will. Because I am poor – poorer than these people.

Although on the one hand it is very accurate that America is one of the wealthiest nations in the world and thus has top richest people living there. But how come there are couple of rich Indian people in there too when India is such a poor country (although we call it a developing nation). Go and take a look at people there, poorest people there are suffering whereas those who got money are enjoying. I guess it is what we call Get Rich or Die Trying.

I am a very poor studend from a poor family my father is late my mother have no good business. I want to study computer science but i dont have a computer because i cant purchace and my educational expenise is too much. A comment about these men making it on their own: nobody makes it on their own, not even Jesus or Abe Lincoln. Great people, wealthy people, even poor failures have the help of many others to get them where they are. Unless you live on the moon all alone you will not get to where you desire without the help of others. It’s the law of nature.

real meaning of richness, wont measure by money, nor investment or any assets but how rich and pure your heart inside. no matter who you are. who has fear with GOD. above all, if we have these desire were more blessed than these 5 people. because nothing is impossible with Him. dont loose hope.GOD BLESS all our nation
