It is not always easy to determine whether you have been exposed to asbestos fiber or not. But we will list some of the common signs and symptoms in people who have asbestos exposure. If you suspect you have been exposed to it through home or outside environment, it is a good idea to seek medical help. Although the signs doesn’t become obvious until many years after exposure, here are some general signs and symptoms that you can notice:

-Swelling of the neck or face
-Chest pain and tightening over time.
-Shortness of breath, wheezing, or hoarseness
-Loss of appetite and weight.
-Fatigue or anemia and difficulty swallowing foods.
-Fever and sweating in the bed.
-Blood in the sputum and other fluid when we cough up
-A persistent cough that gets worse over time

    I just would like to let you know that I lost my husband at 67 and he suffered greatly with all these systems that I read above.
    The doctors do not want any part to do with asbestos, but it came out on his exrays that he had minor scarring of the lungs.
    He suffered greatly and it came out on his death cerificate that he suffered emphysema and asbestosis 10 years plus.
