Identity theft occurs when someone uses your identity without your permission for his personal reasons. There are different types of identity theft such as Financial identity theft, identity cloning and concealment, business/ commercial identity theft and criminal identity theft. So some might wonder how do these thieves steal your identity; they are able to steal your identity by stealing your mails or hacking your computer.

There are many identity theft protection services out there. And one of them is Lifelock. There are six steps they take to protect and prevent identity theft. First they set alerts from credit bureau in case of fraud and they ask them send credit statements every 90 days. And then they requests re-approved credit card and junk mail lists to stop sending you. And they say “We will do whatever it takes to help you recover your good name and we will spend up to $1,000,000 to do it.”
