Sports coaches: If you can’t make it on the field, try coaching. A master’s degree in coaching or a sports-related field is required to work at the collegiate level.

Sports physicians: Before becoming certified to treat sports-related injuries, M.D.s must complete a one- to two-year program that focuses on exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, psychology, physical rehabilitation, epidemiology, physical evaluation and injuries.
