Who do you think will win the contest if it takes place between blackberry vs iphone?

There is no doubt that Blackberry came first and revolutionized the use of phone, by making it possible for the cell phones to browse web and read emails besides common cell phone features. Then came iPhone and everybody is getting it. Apple who makes iPhone is estimating that it will sell about 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008.

At the same time, Research In Motion who manufatures BlackBerry has 12 million subscribers, and its iconic BlackBerry is selling at a clip of about 4 million units a quarter. Stock market share prices of Apple have been trading near a record $200, while Research In Motion reached a split-adjusted record of $137 a share in November. Markets and consumers for which the iPhone and BlackBerry are targetted for are often overlapping.

The BlackBerry has long been established as a popular device for corporate users who focused mostly on e-mail and calendar features, but the manufacturer Research In Motion are planning for high-end consumers who might buy the device for play as much as for work. Apple is working on a corporate-friendly version too. iPhone’s e-mail software is yet to be announced yet.
