Most people seem to think that people who live over 100 years age are just lucky, as if we are not supposed to live over 100 years of age. That’s not true. Our body has a potential to live 100 years or older; it is just us who is not taking care of our body and thus make it die young.

What we are talking about here is our lifestyle and habits. Habits are repetitive behavior that become automatic repetitive behavior once it is fully developed. It usually takes couple of weeks to form such repetitive automatic behavior pattern in our brain. So it is really important to develop good health habits since it only take few weeks.

Eat in moderation. You can eat just once a day, but if that meal was a huge one that it won’t do any good. It will hurt your body. Realistically, we should more than just once a day; actually it is recommended to use five meals a day, but in low in amount. What this does is bring nutrients to our body constantly, but in such a way that it won’t over nutrient and raise health problems like blood sugar going up way high.

Use stairs instead of elevators to just go to the next floor. It will help you shed some pounds, strengthen your immune system and join functions. Walking is probably the least paid attention of all the weight loss commercials and advertisement we see on television; it is because walking doesn’t cost anything. But the truth is walking helps a lot to maintain you weight and internal body organs like lungs and heart

Laughter is the best medicine. What laughter does is that it helps our body systems to release endorphins, compounds that give you a sense of well-being, in your brain. Strange but truth of the matter is that laughing improves our immune functions, especially the production of the natural killer cells that help protect the body from illness and cancer.

    I agree with all your suggestions for a longer, healthier life. However, genes has much to do with it. I have seen raging alchoholics that eat only red meat live to 107 and health nuts that exercise regularly die at 43. I guess its just luck of the draw, but luck favor’s the well prepaired.
