Cell phone now a days is not limited to tasks performed by our home phones. They can do so many different things; modern cell phones can do things almost as much as our computer. Experts say that ten percent of every new smart phones we have in the market are capable of handling complex messaging and data, which attracts hackers to get hold of it.
Statistics have shown that mobile cell phone viruses has been doubling every month since the start of year 2004.

What can these malicious cell phone viruses do? These viruses can wipe out all the important data, crash and unstable your cell phone. Virus infected cell phones often start to run slower than its usual performance. Since it has a heavy virus program on it, the battery runs down quick. Cell phone bills also might jump high up, since the virus is transferring all the data to the hacker through your cell phone connection line. There are also pop-ups that start to appear similar to the internet. So when you see these signs and symptoms, it might be the time you check and make sure your cell phone is not hacked with and carrying a virus.

So how do the mobile cell phone hackers really send the viruses to our cell phone? There are so many ways the hackers do it. One of the most common ways of hacking cell phone is through internet downloads. These virus downloads often shows up as normal games, ringtones and phone alerts and updates, but once downloaded these cell phone viruses can do a big damage.

How do you avoid cell phone virus? Although there isn’t a specific way we can avoid cell phone virus because of how the technology keeps on changing, we can always take a precaution. Cell phone users should always be suspicious of any unidentified file send to your phone. Do not accept file download messages to your bluetooth phone from a stranger. Games for our mobile phones should be downloaded from sources we know are secure, not from pirated software sources. Also consider installing cell phone security software just like we install security softwares on our computers.

Here is an important cell phone tip for you: Try not to store your personal information such as passwords, PIN numbers and ATM passcode numbers. Always monitor your mobile cell phone accounts for strange unusual activities.
