There was a recent study done by European Lifestyles Of Health And Sustainability (LOHAS) and they found out Europeans are more likely to go green than Americans. According to the survey results, Europeans are 50% more likely to buy Earth friendly “green” or environmental friendly products like hybrid cars and organic products than Americans are, 25% more likely to recycle, and 30% more likely to influence their individual friends and family about being environmentally conscious.

One of the main reason why Europeans tend to be more Green is because many European countries and the European Union as a whole have much stricter environmental laws than in America. One of the strangest component of the study results was that European consumers were found more price sensitive than Americans; European consumer tend to be 20 percent less likely than U.S. shoppers to say they would pay 20 percent more for eco-friendly products.

However, when really buying a green products out in the market, Europeans were 32 percent more likely to be motivated to purchase a product with a proof that it was green or say environmentally friendly.

On a positive side, another study found that American attitudes towards environment for the last six years has shown that American consumers have been becoming increasingly aware of environmental issues and are more likely to buy green products now. Go Green.
