It’s winter again; have to drive most of the time now. I can’t walk to the store much anymore; if it was possible I would walk to the stores because it is healthy and save money on gas too. “Ice and snow, take it slow, or just don’t go” seems to be the right mantra during winter time driving. Travelling has to be done on limited basis. Better be safe than regret eh?? BusinessWeek recently released a list of cars that are pretty good on snow and ice compared to other cars. Those cars included a cross-section of automobiles from cars and truck. They included both luxury and nonluxury brands; small, medium, and large. Only convertibles were taken out of the consideration:

Subaru Impreza 2.5i $17,640
Volvo C30 $23,395
Honda Accord $20,995
Buick Lucerne $27,100
Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic Sport Sedan $35,215
Mercedes-Benz S550 4Matic $90,475
Subaru Outback $22,640
Volvo XC70 $37,520
Audi A6 Avant $49,000
Honda Ridgeline $28,635
Toyota FJ Cruiser $23,975 (with AWD)
Hummer H2 $56,410
Land Rover Range Rover HSE $77,250
Saturn Vue $21,450
Toyota Tundra $27,165 (with AWD)
